I'm looking for the names of my great-grandmother who was the wife of EGBY, Henry, poet and composer who lived in Reading, Berkshire. He was born about 1840. I met great-grandmother in 1941-42 and she was in her 90s at that time. Henry composed "the Goodbye of the Berkshires" performed at Reading Station in 1914. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bob, your great-grandmother's maiden name was Ellen Kate Smith. She married Henry in the 4th quarter of 1877. According to the 1881 census, she was pretty young when they married - born in London about 1861.

I am looking for information of my grandfather Edward Wenbourne.

Sorry Sue, not quite certain how Google led you to my site. I'm afraid that, to the best of my knowledge, none of my family have any links to either Wembourne or to Poplar in London. Sorry to disappoint you but hope you get other links soon. Ken.

One more thing: Frank Hedley of the IRT, my great grandfather, was Frank S. Hedley (not sure what the S stood for, but it shows up often enough in NYTimes articles, etc.
